About

Richard Marz is a seasoned photographer and artist with over three decades of experience in visual storytelling. His distinctive style draws inspiration from classic pin-up art of the early 20th century, the moody elegance of 1940s and 1950s film noir cinema, and the timeless, soulful work of legendary photographers like Helmut Newton, Patrick Demarchelier, and Peter Lindbergh.

Richard’s artistic journey began in San Diego, where he honed his craft before immersing himself in the vibrant art scenes of Paris and New York. At 25, he co-founded Axcess Magazine, where he collaborated with top industry photographers and refined his eye for composition and narrative imagery. His background in commercial design and art direction led to high-profile collaborations with brands like Cartoon Network, Coca-Cola, and The American Music Awards.

Now based in Los Angeles, Richard brings a cinematic quality to his photography, creating high-end imagery that merges elegance, drama, and emotional depth. His work reflects a deep appreciation for light, shadow, and timeless beauty, capturing each subject with authenticity and sophistication.
